Biography

Before returning to school, you could find me working as a baker, barista, bike courier, and graffiti removal technician.  After completing my thesis-M.A. at UBC on Naming in the works of David Malouf and Jack Hodgins in 2005, I spent one year teaching at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  And after a brief, one-term faculty teaching position at Camosun College’s Interurban campus in Victoria, I began sessionaling at UBC in 2007.  Besides a career in teaching, I seek balance with my irrational, passionate love of hockey, my love of cinema and tv, my amateur chef-ery, and I spend the rest of my time with my beautiful wife Kristina and my beautiful (and most interesting person in the world) daughter Lucy: “Let’s play Da-da!”
