My intention as an educator is to support students in becoming critical, design-oriented thinkers, well positioned to make influential decisions concerning information system design and use.

As an instructor, I facilitate student development in the essential skills of engaged listening, careful reading, thoughtful writing, and polished presenting. My courses weave together challenging content, innovative classroom activities, and strategic assignments. I strive to create an environment that is supportive of engaged inquiry because the success of any course is tied to students' willingness to be active participants in the learning process. In addition to the formal courses listed below, I am faculty advisor on many directed studies, directed research projects, and research collaborations each year.
