Miss E.R. Dear E: As I do not know of anything of any importance to write in a letter, I think I will wait till something fresh turns up. Am still in the wood whenever opportunity offers but expect to finish up there this week. I hope I may as the sun is getting pretty strong and the snow is very deep in the bush. There is a nice girl up in the bush where I stop, just 16 and --- before, ha, ha, ha. One for me. Forgot to tell you in my letter how I longed to be able to grant your desire, but am afraid it would not be safe to try that trip with a horse just now. Maybe in the good old summertime, I may take a slide in that direction. Hope your cold is all well and that tired feeling all gone so that once more you will feel like the little girl who used to live on the farm. Must close with a return of the much phrase used a little more.
H.

How would you like to live here where you could paddle in the summer and skate in the winter?
