Being the first born in the Melvin and Helen Murray family, I have been asked to write some of my memories of my parents. First of what I can remember about my father before he was married, and then of my father and mother's life together.

Now as I was not around before my father's marriage, I can only relate what has been told to me over the years, and what I've read about the Murray's as a family unit. Apparently they lived in Prince Edward Island for a short period of time, three sons having been born there, one of which was my father. Eventually the family moved back to New Brunswick and lived near the Moncton area. As a boy Dad worked on a farm which is now part of the city of Moncton, N.B. Then later as a teenager, he was employed in a factory which made sugar barrels.
