As a continuation of CHIN 104, CHIN 108 is the second intensive 6-credit summer course for non-heritage students. It keeps on placing emphasis on the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Lectures are coordinated with communicative classroom activities and on-line resources to help students acquire more Chinese vocabulary, sentence patterns and syntax. By the end of this course, students are expected to write about 800 simplified characters, and to compose essays of approximately 150 characters on given topics.
