Each member of the class is asked to complete at least five entries for a response blog for the class. These should each be approximately 200-300 words long, and should involve responding critically to the course texts, or to material presented in the lectures. I will read them all, and offer some commentary. (I won't be editing your writing here, or commenting on grammar. The style of blogging will be yours to choose.) I have created a google discussion group, to which you can post your blog entries, or respond to others. (The web address for the google group is https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/ubc-english-222-002-canadian-literature.) Please send me your e-mail address, with which I can add you to the discussion group. Please note that a response to the work of others counts as one of the five required blog entries for the term.
If you wish to make your own blog outside of the threads in the discussion group, please visit UBC Blogs to create a WordPress blog for yourself. (They make it easy to do.) If you already have your own blog, feel free to use it. Please post links to your blog entries to the discussion group, so that others can read, and engage with, your work.
The grade you receive for this blog (10% of your final mark) will be based on completing 5 entries (five points) and on your critical engagement with the texts (five points).
