The location of the Battle of CAMLANN is a subject of debate. One possibility is Camboglanna, usually identified with the Roman fort of that name on Hadrian's Wall. For Geoffrey, Camblam is clearly the River Camel, with the site of the battle being traditionally associated with Slaughter Bridge, about a mile north of Camelford.
